Position: JAVA Developer- JSP/Netbeans
Location:Austin, TX
Duration: June 2010 – November 2010 (possible extension)
General Duties:
· Perform complex computer programming in Java and analysis work.
· Analyzing, designing, coding, converting, implementing, maintaining, testing and documenting computer programs.
· Analyzing end user business processes and automation needs; and providing technical assistance to agency personnel.
· If assignment dictates, may manage automated systems within functional areas of TRS and may serve as project leader responsible for the development and implementation of small-scale automation projects.
· Work under limited supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
· Will participate in or lead walk thrus and demonstrations of programs and applications.
· Will lead special small-scale automation projects.
· Other duties as assigned.

5 | Maintains and enhances programming and IT knowledge and skills; assists in providing training and technical assistance to IT staff. |
5 | Experience with full-time computer programming |
3 | Experience managing projects and developing applications utilizing a well-defined systems development lifecycle methodology (SDLC). |
3 | Experience with using Struts, |
3 | Experience in creating Java Server Pages (JSP's) |
3 | Experience in user interface development (including design and programming for usability),

Strong | Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing. |
Degree or Equivalent | Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university (or High School graduation or equivalent and substitute full-time responsible work experience for the required education on a year for year basis). |
