Job Description :
• Analyzing product and technology requirements, working closely with product managers and team leads
• Performing object oriented design and analysis on software components and systems
• Developing functional specifications for new development
• Defining high-level and low-level system architectures
• Researching and recommending technologies to be used in product development
• Developing high-level and low-level designs
• Testing and debugging code
• Developing deployment scenarios for software and hardware components
• Deploying and testing products in a highly available configuration
• Communicating with management, team leads and team personnel on project status and risks
• Leading and mentoring a small team of developers to design and implement products and features
• Project planning (task identification, estimation, dependences, risk analysis)
Desired Profile :
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field
• Master's degree preferred
• 4+ years experience developing software in a commercial software development environment
• Solid experience with Java and related technologies – mandatory
• Object oriented design experience using UML – mandatory
• Experience with modern software development methodologies – mandatory
• Good organizational and communications skills – mandatory
• Experience developing software for a highly available, web-based product – highly desirable
• Project planning experience and familiarity with project planning tools – highly desirable
• Experience mentoring and leading other developers – beneficial
• Experience developing GUI applications in Swing – beneficial
• Experience developing web-based clients and systems – beneficial
• Experience in the healthcare domain – beneficial
