Job Description :

Principal Responsibilities :
• Answer calls from Project Desk & UK field force within agreed SLA targets.
• Proactively contact allocated onsite client engineers via phone and email to introduce yourself and confirm the work is still OK to proceed with at the agreed time at the start of each shift.
• Adhere to Commissioning Guides process & procedures in accordance with agreed Best Practice standards.
• Manage Commissioning Incidents with the Project Desk in accordance with agreed local processes and SLA's
• Regularly update the Team Leaders on Commissioning progress reports throughout the lifecycle of the project.
• Ensure an Escalation/Notification profile is followed in accordance with local Escalation /Notification processes to meet the agreed Commissioning SLA's.
• Inform the project Desk of all Major Incidents impacting Commissioning tasks.
• Perform a quality handover to and from the Late & morning shifts at the beginning and end of each shift and team leader.
Skills :
• 12 months 'hands on CLI' (Command Line Interface) knowledge & experience of the appropriate network technologies listed below:
• Cisco router & switches – hardware & software
• Cisco routing protocols: RIP, OSPF & BGP
• ACL's & Routemaps
• Subnet IP addressing (inclusive of VLSM)
• Advanced Cisco diagnostic & troubleshooting skills (Data)
• Technical skills (Minimum CCNA Accreditation)
• CCNP would be added advantage
• Knowledge of DSL & ISDN technologies
• Awareness of SNMP Vendor tools, i.e. Smarts, Micromuse Netcool, HP Openview etc
• Very Good customer interfacing skills.
• Strong written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work with little or no supervision and with limited technical support
