Job Description :
• Should have been a key member of a UI team participating in the complete product development lifecycle of several successfully launched web and/or software applications.
Role and Responsibilities :
• Work closely with our Business Analysts, Development Teams, Sales and Marketing Teams to extract User Requirements
• Experience developing Paper Prototypes/Wireframes/Online Prototypes (Fully functional)
• Participate in concept development and design ideation. Must demonstrate strong design skills including screen layouts, information design, and typography, and must have a great eye for detail
• Successfully communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale and the specifics of user centered design process
• Create visual designs that address business, brand, market, and user requirements, including the design and production of screen layouts, color palettes, typography, user interface elements (graphs/charts, icons, useful headers etc.)
• Must have solid grasp of graphic and web design principles and good understanding of current web technologies.
• Sound know-how on HTML, HTML 5, CSS2.0, DHTML, XHTML, JavaScript
• Strong orientation in designing web applications/web sites with pure CSS and table-less layouts with W3C standards
• Accessibility implementation as per WCAG 2.0 guidelines
• Should be well-versed with estimation techniques for User interface design
• Work right from Desirability to Creativity to User Experience and Product Realization
• Must be a self-starter who thrives on working in a fast-paced environment and execute projects independently to develop User-Centric Solutions (Applications/Websites/Intranets/Extranets)
• Must be passionate about improving software usability and optimizing the customer experience.
Tools & Technologies (must know) :
• Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, HTML, XHTML, HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript, Flash, Web 2.0, W3C standards, Knowledge of different browsers and CSS rendering (IE 6, IE 7, IE 8, Firefox, Opera, Chrome, Safari), Knowledge of display devices and CSS rendering, Standard compliant codes and coding structures, Validate XHTML/CSS, Usability Processes and Accessibility
• MS office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), creating and maintaining UI Bug loggers, CSS Framework, UI Templating, working with client's Style-guide specifications.
Good to have :
• Exposure in designing RIAs using Web 2.0 features, Flash, Ajax
• Experience in designing such as Silverlite, Flex, Expression blend/web etc
• Knowledge of GUI/Desktop Application Design, Accessibility
• Certifications in Design, HFI, Human Computer Interaction will be an added advantage

• The position requires to lead and collaborate with a team of Interaction designers and UI designers to produce superior user interfaces.
