Job Position : Test Engineer

Job Description :
• You will be expected to Design, develop, document, execute and maintain test cases and scripts to ensure that the projects deliverables meet the project requirements and product specifications.
• Verify and validate software deliveries, follow testing procedures and document the completion of testing in test reports.
Candidate Profile :
• Assumed Quality Assurance role with manual and automated software testing, including functional, integration, regression and user acceptance testing related to Software applications.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and QA processes
• Expertise using defect tracking systems and test management tool. (eg: Mantis, Test Director, Bugzilla)
• Expertise in at least one scripting language (eg: UNIX shell, Perl, Python).

Job Description :
• The resource will be responsible for complete execution of testing projects.
• He /She will need to interact with the clients and/or the team abroad during all phases of delivery.
• The candidate will be required to have an understanding of the complete scope of work assigned, and work out the test strategy and plan accordingly.
• This person will provide the technical leadership to the team and will be responsible for all client deliverables as per the project processes and guidelines.
• Design, develop, document, execute and maintain test cases and scripts to ensure that the projects deliverables meet the project requirements and product specifications.
• Verify and validate software deliveries, follow testing procedures and document the completion of testing in test reports.
• Define workload for test campaign and use customer oriented criteria to identify high risk areas, prioritize work and developed End 2 End test cases scenario.
• Able to organize and lead a team of Quality and test automation Engineers.
• Report and provide to the Project Manager regular status updates on test progress, troubleshooting analysis, documentation and test related metrics.
• In addition, the position requires the incumbents to be able to assist in pre sales activities such as scoping and sizing of work and proposing testing solutions.
• A hands on person by nature, it is expected that the candidate will have a habit of taking initiatives for better execution and will show strong leadership and mentoring potential.
Candidate Profile:
• Good experience in using the requirement and design specifications to define the test strategy and plans.
• Proficient in all aspects of SDLC, software testing, including at least familiarity with automated testing with Win Runner, QTP and other such tools.
• Proficiency in conducting reviews or work products created at various stages of projects.
• Should be highly quality conscious and exposed to established software development quality norms. Awareness of CMM practices will be an advantage.
• Must have excellent communication and technical skills.
• Must be proficient in estimation and project planning and management.
• Should be used to high level of accountability with moderate supervision.
• Awareness of formal methods of estimation will be an advantage.
• Relevant certification, e.g., CSTE, ISEB etc will be a strong advantage.
• Prior experience of travel and interaction with international clients will be an advantage.
• Experience in Telcom domain is desirable.
