Experienced Walk-In : Oracle Database Administrator

Job Position : DBA

Job Location : Mumbai, Maharashtra

Desired Experience : 3 to 8 Years (Mandatory)

Job Description :
• Good understanding of Oracle memory architecture, backup / recovery fundamentals
• Manage Oracle 9i and Oracle 10g versions on UNIX and Wintel platforms.
• Installation of Oracle database software on UNIX
• Creation and configuration of Oracle database
• Database activities like cloning, patching, upgrades, DB re-orgs
• User management, privilege management
• Space management: tablespace utilization, space addition
• Logical and physical backup: export backup, hot backup, cold backup
• Oracle recovery manager (RMAN)
• Basic understanding of Oracle performance tuning
• Understanding of UNIX OS from database administration perspective: directory navigation, file management (cp / mv) and use of VI editor

Optional skill sets : UNIX shell scripting

Soft skills :
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Analytical mind set
• Attention to details, task prioritization
• Able to multi task on the job
