This position is for a software engineer who has strong experience in ASP.NET, C# and Oracle/SQL Server and is willing to learn and work on VC++ as well. The person hired will be responsible for addressing client issues and enhancements to the system after the initial training period.
Requirements:
1. Must have a Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field.
2. Minimum 3+ years in software development.
3. Strong hands-on experience in Microsoft technologies â€" ASP.NET, and C#.NET.
4. Knowledge of XML / XSL are essential.
5. Working knowledge of COM, VC++ is a big plus.
6. Good knowledge of SQL Server and / or Oracle 9i as backend.
7. Excellent communication (English) and analytical skills. Must be proactive.
8. Exposure to Human Resources domain is a plus.
9. Must be willing to learn and work on VC++ and COM to support existing code.
Essential Duties and responsibities:
1. Own and maintain modules within the existing complex product code.
2. Debug existing code and find the root cause of an issue.
3. Handle end to end development of a component.
4. Accurately estimate effort required for completing a task, and complete tasks on or ahead of schedule.
5. Independently solve isolated problems.
6. Effectively coordinate with other team members and lead on work items.
