Job Description

Summary/Job Description: Performs standard engineering assignments usually representing a significant portion of a larger project. Selects engineering techniques to solve problems and make design recommendations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Participates as a team member in a specific phase of a broad engineering assignment.
• Directs preparation of appropriate documentation for assigned projects.
• Provides technical leadership to a small group of temporarily assigned engineers and technicians.
• Ensures successful completion of the assigned project phase within the budgeted time and cost constraints.
• Participates in defining engineering approaches, and in planning and scheduling work.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Job Complexity:

• Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises judgement within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.
• Requires thorough working knowledge on Unigraphics, CAD Application and Teamcenter engineering environment, exposure to composites and aerospace aluminium alloys will be an added advantage. Smart CAD Modeling skill set is a must.
• Exposure to CNC manufacturing processes, tools and methods is an additional requirement. Awareness about FMEA(PFMEA&DFMEA), DFM and DFA, DOE (Design of Experiments) is required. Understanding the application of materials in product design in relation with life cycle, Reliability and MTBF etc is an additional advantage.
• Implementation of GD& T, ASME 14.5 Y 1994 standards application is required.

Education &/or Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed university and upto one year in similar role with a total of 6 years of related experience.
