Job Position : Software Engineer / Sr Software Engineer – Blackberry
Job Location : Bangalore, Karnataka
Desired Education : BS or MS in Computer Science or related Engineering field
Desired Experience : 2 to 7 Years (Mandatory)
Key Skills : Blackberry, Java, RIM API, UI Part
Position Summary :
• Work with Development, QA, Product Management and Project management teams to create cutting edge, best in class Web and wireless applications
• Design and scope the solution meeting marketing and production requirements
• Implement a maintainable solution using software engineering best practices
• Unit test and work with QA to build test plans
• Participate in code reviews
Technical Skills :
• BS or MS in Computer Science or related engineering field.
• 2+ years in software development experience working with Blackberry J2ME, JDE 4.2 - 4.7, and eclipse within a Java environment
• Experience must include hands-on software development, design methodologies and design tools, object oriented principles, and direct experience with functional, operational and technical architectures of large scale systems.
• Must be able to develop designs consistent with product requirements and customer considerations
• Able to derive and evaluate software specifications for small, medium and large, complex software systems
• Able to coordinate design of subsystems and integration of system components
• Proficiency with J2ME and one or more Java Application Framework (Struts, Spring, etc.)
• Experience with client side development using style sheets, AJAX, DHTML, etc.
• Experience with database related development (SQL, JDBC)
• Web Services experience is a BIG plus.
• Experience with the following technologies is a plus: WAP, SMS, MMS, WAP Push
Desired Skills :
• CRM experience – Siebel, SAP, Oracle e-business, Remedy
• Lotus Notes
