Job Description
The Senior SAP Basis Administrator Involves and directs installation, technical administration, tuning and monitoring of SAP applications and support of business / applications teams. In conjunction with suppliers, he / she designs and optimizes methods and techniques in accordance with best practices to support and monitor SAP landscapes and environments, performs troubleshooting analysis and supports all facets of application development and support. The Senior SAP Basis Administrator also leads teams guiding the migration of technical environments. He / she continuously collaborates and effectively communicates with other IT Infrastructure teams such as server and database support for
activities involving installation and planning of SAP software implemetation, support package application and upgrades.
He / she works closely with suppliers, IT Management and customers to ensure that all SAP technical requirements are fulfilled in an appropriate, high quality manner, and that all systems are audit compliant. The person is responsible for making sure Basis and other technical resources are accurately estimated, balanced, carefully utilized, and that all plans are consistent with enterprise architectural standards.
Infrastructure Services
Architecture: Ensure applications and technical components within the SAP system's are maintained according to architectural guidelines. Appropriately coordinate upgrades, support packs and enhancement packs making certain system compatibility is maintained. Collaborate with customer facing teams to design flexible / best practice landscape refresh and transport strategies.
Position Qualifications
- 7+ years of Basis Administration experience, including experience in an implementation/delivery project
- Four-year college degree in computer science, information systems or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in Daily Basis activities in ECC 6.0x , BW 7.3, Solution manager version 7.1, PI 7.11, SCM 7.0, SAP Netweaver Portal 7.0+, and SRM 7.0+
- Familiar with performing upgrades and applying Support Packages in ABAP and JAVA stacks
- Exceptional communications (written and oral), change leadership and customer service skills
- High sense of urgency, self starter and self-directed Experience working with cross-functional information technology teams.
- Problem solving ability (to include analytical, prioritization, and escalation skills) Planning skills.
- Understanding of process and project management.
- Adaptability and flexibility in a fast changing environment.
